What a wonderful Spring day it is. Oreo and I just returned from a walk, and the temperature is 68, and mostly sunny. But I really know it's Spring when I can open the windows and just hear the wonderful melodies outside . . . the chorus of birds is as if God has synchronized them with each other. The variety outside that I have seen so far are Golden Finch, Purple Finch, House Finch, Tufted Titmouse, Downy Woodpecker, Red Breasted Woodpecker, Blue Jay, Sparrow (don't ask me what variety) and Chickadee. In fact, my heart was just warmed as I watched a Chickadee couple brining a variety material to one of my birdhouses on the back deck . . . setting up household so very near!!!! I can't wait to watch them through the Spring and Summer. I just added two birdhouses last year . . . and though they are meant to be functional as well as decor, I was afraid no bird would set up household so very close to our dining room doors.
Matt has been out in the woods exploring for the past 3 out of 4 days this week. One day he brought a friend home with him from school, and they had a good time exploring, and hated when Addison had to go home. There is nothing like good clean fun in the outdoors. Out in God's nature. He has provided such a variety for our enjoyment, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to enjoy it more now than ever. Even if I can't go deep into the woods.
Karl has begun his projects, and mowed the grass for the first time this week. I always know when Karl starts working on his to-do list, and begins assemplying items for a project that good weather has arrived!
To my friends and relatives . . . take some time to look at God's glory around you. May it give you encouragement today and hope, for a future of untold beauty.
