Dad's been home from the hospital 9 days now, and he is doing SUPER! Jonathan and his girlfriend Stephanie spent the day with us, and we decided to get out of the house together. Today Dad went for his first drive for more than 5 miles away. We decided it was such a pretty day, that we needed to drive to John Downes Park, on the Chesapeake Bay, in Pasadena, MD. It is a 20-30 minute drive from Mom & Dad's house. It is a wonderful park with walking/biking trails, a nature center, an ampitheater, a fishing peer, youth group campgrounds, picnic area, large playgrounds and a view across the Bay.
We spotted a Loon out on the bay, diving down into the water and resurfacing minutes later, and it was so much fun to try to determine where he would come out of the water.
Off in the distance we could see the Bay Bridge.
Jon and Stephanie came home with a bag full of shells they picked up from the seashore . . . it's amazing the variety that they can find in a rather small area!!
We topped off the day with dinner at non other, than my FAVORITE . . .
Yep, that's right . . . Ledo Pizza . . . YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
